On February 3, 1993 “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey” was released. “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey” (released by Walt Disney Pictures) is an American remake of the 1963 film “The Incredible Journey”. Both films were based on the best-selling novel “The Incredible Journey,” written by Shelia Burnford. A sequel was later released in 1996 called “Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco.”

The film follows three animals, a Golden Retriever named Shadow (voiced by Don Ameche), an American Bulldog named Chance (voiced by Michael J. Fox), and a Himalayan Cat named Sassy (voiced by Sally Field); as they travel hundreds of miles to reach home after getting lost in the wilderness, while their family is on vacation.
