On January 15, 1974, “Happy Days” made its debut on ABC.
The series, created by Garry Marshall and starred Ron Howard and Henry Winkler, lasted 11 seasons, and took place in the mid-1950s to mid-1960s. The sitcom starred Richie Cunningham (Howard) and his family, living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as well as Arthur “Fonzie/The Fonz” Fonzarelli (Winkler), as they navigate life as young adults. Since its inception, the show has become a pop culture stable, specifically with the fashion depicted, notably Winkler’s attire. In addition, the show spawned the hit shows “Mork & Mindy” and “Laverne & Shirley.”
