On January 17, 1922, Betty White was born. She is best known for being an actress, comedian, and television personality; having a career that has spanned over 70 years.

She has won six Emmy Awards, a Grammy Award, and various Screen Actors Guild Awards. She is best known for her portrayal of Rose Nylon on “The Golden Girls,” Sue Ann Nivens on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” as well as currently starring as Elka Ostrovsky in “Hot in Cleveland.” Throughout her life, she has been a devotee to many animal charities, using her career as a platform to raise awareness to animal welfare.
