On March 23, 2011 Elizabeth Taylor passed away due to congestive heart failure.

She is often remembered as one of the last surviving members of Hollywood’s Golden Age of stars, as well as for her many marriages. She won two Academy Awards, one for Best Actress for 1960’s “Butterfield 8,” and another one for Best Actress for 1966’s “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”

Besides her film work and personal life, she is remembered for her glamorous lifestyle (i.e. her love of jewelry… specifically diamonds), her violet eyes, as well as her support for various HIV and Aids program.

At the time of her death she was 79; and was survived by her four children, ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
