On November 4, 1978 “Scooby Doo, Where Are You!” ends its run on television.

The cartoon show, created by Hanna-Barbera, followed a group of investigators (Fred, Velma, Daphne, Shaggy, and a Great Dane named Scooby Doo) as they solve supernatural-related crimes. After it’s initial run, Scooby Doo, as well as the Scooby Gang, were featured in various spin offs and television movies, as well as two live-action big screen movies (starring Freddie Prinze, Jr and Sarah Michelle Gellar).

In 2013, TV Guide listed “Scooby Doo” as the fifth greatest cartoon of all time.
