On November 7 Tiffany tops the music charts with “I Think We’re Alone Now”…

On November 7, 1987 pop star Tiffany became the youngest singer to reach the number-one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with “I Think We’re Along Now” since Michael Jackson did in 1972 with “Ben.”

The song itself was originally recorded by Tommy James & The Shondells, peaking at number four in 1967, but later recorded by Tiffany in 1987, staying at the number-one spot for two weeks.
