On December 27, 1969 “Someday We’ll Be Together” by The Supremes reached number one on the music charts. The single has the distinct honor of being the final number-one hit of the 1960s, as well as the final number-one hit for The Supremes. Soon after the single was released Diana Ross embarked on a solo career in the 1970s, with “Someday We’ll Be Together” being the last time Diana Ross was with the group.
