On January 13, 1961 Julia Louis-Dreyfus was born. She is best known for her television work, most notably her comedic roles, in the series’ “Seinfeld,” “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” and “Veep.”  Through out her career she has won four Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe, and five Screen Actors Guild Awards. In May 2010, she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

She’s the most nominated actress in Emmy Award history, with a total of fourteen nominations, surpassing the record Lucille Ball accomplished.

She is an heiress to a billion dollar empire. Her father is billionaire Gerard Loius-Dreyfus, her grandfather is Pierre Louis-Dreyfus, and is great-great-granddaughter of Leopold Louis-Dreyfus.  Her family founded the Louis Dreyfus Group, a French commodities and shipping conglomerate, which is still ran by them.
