On April 3 Amanda Bynes was born…

On April 3, 1986 actress Amanda Bynes was born. She is best known for her start on Nickelodeon on “All That” and “The Amanda Show.” Throughout the 2000s she starred in the television sitcom “What I Like About You,” and had roles in hit films such as “What A Girl Wants,” “Hairspray,” and “Easy A.”

Since 2012, Bynes has stayed in the public eye due to various erratic tendencies, from wearing wigs, to unusual public behavior, and labeling those she didn’t like as “ugly.” Aside from claiming in 2012 that she’s “retired from acting,” Bynes has had various run-ins with the law.  She’s been pulled over for two alleged hit-and-run accidents, driving with a suspended license, driving under the influence, arrested for criminal possession of marijuana, starting a small fire on her neighbor’s driveway, with her eventually being arrested and placed under a 72-hour 5150 mental health evaluation hold in 2013. Soon after, her parents were granted a conservatorship and Bynes was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Most of Bynes run-ins with the law have been resolved, and she subsequently received treatment at the UCLA Medical Center for mental issues.

In December of 2013, Bynes was released from the UCLA Medical Center to her parents, and soon later enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising for the 2014 school year (and currently on the rode to recovery).
