On September 1, 1957 Latin superstar Gloria Estefan was born.
Hailing from Cuba and having a career spanning almost 40 years, Estefan is one of the world’s best selling artists of all time, achieving sales of over 100 million records worldwide. Estefan first gained prominence in the 1970’s alongside the Miami Sound Machine, before releasing her debut album in 1989, “Cuts Both Ways.” Among her countless awards and recognitions include seven Grammy Awards, as well as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
