On February 22, 2011 the seventh installment of “The Real Housewives” franchise, “The Real Housewives of Miami,” made its debut on Bravo.
Originally season one was meant to be a restructuring of the failed Bravo reality series, “Miami Social,” but instead Bravo chose to make it a Miami installment of “The Real Housewives.” Often hailed as targeting the Latino audience due to many of the housewives coming from Latino backgrounds, with the current line up featuring model Joanna Krupa, art curator Adriana De Moura, philanthropist and the unofficial “mayor of Miami” Lea Black (and wife of famed defense attorney Roy Black), Lisa Hoshstein (whose husband is considered the “boob god of Miami” due to his successful plastic surgery business), and magazine editor and self-proclaimed “Cuban Barbie” Alexia Echevarria. PR firm owner Marysol Patton and lawyer Ana Quincoces round out the cast as “Friends of the Housewives,” with both being full-time housewives in season two.

The Miami Housewives hold the distinct honor of depicting the first fight between two housewives that got physical. Adriana De Moura and Joanna Krupa entered a heated argument during a charity event at the home of cast member Lisa Hoshstein, that when Joanna began to follow Adriana, Adrianna turned around and slapped Joanna in the face.

Alexia Echevarria confirmed in a February 2014 interview with E! Online that “The Real Housewives of Miami” will return for a fourth season.
