On June 26, 1995 “I Could Fall in Love” by Selena was released, featured on her fifth studio album, 1995’s “Dreaming of You.”
The song has became one of Selena’s most popular hits, reaching the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song, as well as the accompanying music video, were released posthumously after her death. The music video featured a montage of various Selena performances.

Besides it being a commercial success, it was praised by critics, notably for the emotion Selena displayed in singing the song, as well as garnering comparison to the likes of Celine Dione. The song was meant to showcase Selena’s musical transition into the English-speaking market, demonstrating her versatility. To this day, the song still gathers airplay, and has been covered by many artists (e.g. Jennifer Lopez, Gloria Estefan).
