On July 14, 1979 Donna Summer’s “Bad Girls” reached the number-one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The single, featured on the album of the same name, spent five weeks at the number-one position, selling over two million copies in the United States. The song eventually became one of Summer’s signature hits.
